Situated alongside the river, and part of a Napoleonic Maison de Maître, this large apartment has been renovated to a high standard whilst retaining the charm of stone walls and timber beams. It has a large open-plan living/dining area and fully-fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. There are three twin bedrooms overlooking the river, a sofabed in the lounge, two bathrooms and two wc's. The large south-facing roof terrace is perfect for sunbathing and is complete with barbeque, chaises longues, swing seat, and dining table and chairs.

The fascinating village of Bize dates back to the eleventh century. Some of the original fortified walls and ramparts are still in place and are a reminder of more violent times, difficult to recall while strolling round the quiet cobbled streets in the drowsy warmth of a summer's evening. The Wednesday market continues to offer a superb variety of fresh food as it has done for centuries and, unlike many rural French villages these days, Bize is still very much alive and supports five restaurants, a bar and shops. The crystal clear river that runs alongside the village is ideal for swimming and is so popular that there is a lifeguard in July and August. Fishing, bike hire and tennis courts are available nearby.
