Domaine Les Magasins

This domain was built at the same time as the Canal du Midi (1780 circa). Made of local stones and beams. The gite, which is on 2 floors, has been completely renovated to include a few modern features like an American kitchen! Use of the swimming pool, spa, and BBQ area are included. We are situated Au Port de Bram on the Canal du Midi. All commerce's are available in Bram 1km away. Carcassonne, Castelnaudary are 10m away, Meditérannée 30 min, Ski resorts 1 hour away.

GITE 1 (Four Stars)

On the Canal du Midi in Bram near Carcassonne, Languedoc Roussillion. 3 Bedrooms, sleep 4/5 with Swimming Pool and Spa

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with extra large double bed, en-suite and view of the Canal du Midi. Bedroom 2 with extra large double bed, en-suite and view of the Montagne Noire. Bedroom 3 with single bed, possibility to include a childbed or cot.

Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom 1 with bath/shower over, lavabo and WC.En-suite bathroom 2 with shower, lavabo and WC.

Kitchen: American kitchen, gas cooker and oven, large fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, pressure cooker etc.

Living Rooms: Very large salon, dining room with leather sofas, dining table seats 6/8, cheminée, modern shelving system with TV

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Towels and linen are included. Beds are made on arrival and a clean change every week. Cleaning is not included but can be organized.

Outside

Our swimming pool has a sound alarm system; consequently it is a condition of your stay that toddlers and children can only use the pool if their parents supervise them.

Coast/Beach

Mediterranean beaches are ½ hour to 1 hour by motorway from the Domain. Theses include Narbonne Plage, Guissan, Leucate, Port Bacares, Canet Plage (Perpignan), Cap d'Agde etc.

Travel

The nearest airport is Carcassonne 10 min drive, Toulouse 30 min drive, Perpignan 1½ hour drive. Because of our country side situation a car is recommended. However walkers and bike riders along the canal du Midi also stay with us.

Distances

Our little town Bram with all facilities is 1km away from the Domain. There are within ½ hr drive say so many places of interest, markets, Vignobles, typical Montagne Noire villages that they would be too long to enumerate here, not to mention the Cathare history...

The superb Carcassonne Golf Course is fifteen minutes away.

Changeover day: Changeover day in summer is Saturday unless otherwise agreed with the owners.
The rest of the year is flexible. Arrival after 4pm. Departure before 10am.
