Domaine de Mattefer is a 17th century wine estate set in the heart of the peaceful Languedoc countryside yet only ten minutes' drive from the lovely old town of Narbonne. Carefully converted into three large houses with beamed ceilings throughout, they retain much of the barn's original character.
The two four-bedroom houses each sleep eight and the five-bedroom house sleeps ten. Each house has two bathrooms, spacious lounge, dining area and kitchen fully furnished and equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, private terrace with garden furniture and barbeque. Cot and highchair provided, linen & towel hire available.
A spacious and comfortable apartment for 4/5 with its own entrance is on the first floor of the Maison de Maître with one double and one twin bedroom plus two sofabeds in the lounge; bathroom with wc; large open-plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. There is a second apartment also on the first floor with one double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms and two bathrooms, large open plan kitchen/ dining area and lounge. Both are fully furnished and equipped with gas cooker, fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine. Private barbeque areas with garden furniture. The houses all enjoy stunning views across the vineyards and canal to the Montagne Noire.
