La Robine - Canalside Apartment

A beautiful and spacious second floor two bedroom apartment, overlooking the tree lined canal La Robine, in the pretty town of Narbonne. Boutiques, cafés, bars with live music and restaurants are within a five to ten minute walk and just a few minutes more will take you to the fabulous historic buildings or the indoor gourmet market. Many of the town's streets and bridges are laden with floral baskets welcoming visitors to smell the flowers and enjoy its relaxed pace. Just a minute's walk away is a pretty park with a boules pitch and wonderful little playground at one end; and a canal view and little stream at the other - a peaceful spot to lie in the sun or under the shade of the trees. 

Narbonne is perfectly situated for a beautiful 15 minute drive to the beach or heading off further afield to explore the historic sites of the region. Although car hire is recommended, the train station is within walking distance and there are buses to the coast. Travel light to this well equipped apartment which has everything down to an iron, books, CDs and DVDs.

The open plan dining and living room has lovely views of the boats on the tree-lined canal, the top of the medieval cathedral and terracotta tiled townhouse rooftops. Renovated and furnished in February 2005, the apartment has still retained it's original features such as it's wooden beams, doors and traditional shutters on it's long windows. There are dining table and chairs as well as a comfortable seating area with TV, DVD, Radio/CD/MP3 player. The kitchen is large and has a traditional feel though it is has all mod cons including dishwasher, large fridge freezer, washing machine, electric convection oven, microwave and both gas and electric hob. It's Juliette Balcony is perfect for morning coffee or afternoon tea. 

The master bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobe and lovely views of the canal and the leafy courtyard of the neighbouring winery. The second bedroom has twin beds and fitted wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower, bidet, large sink and heated towel rail; there is a separate wc. A large electric fan is available for summer and there is modern central heating for winter.There are plenty of parking spaces outside the apartment.
